SSI recipients who get the smallest checks and direct payments this week may also be able to get the October 1 payment. That means that some seniors will get two different payments this week if they are qualified.

• Your payment will be made on October 3 if you get both of these:
  • SSI
  • & retirement payments from Social Security (if you are also on SSDI)
• If you got benefits before May 1997, your payment date is October 3.

If you file when you are 70 years old, the most you could get on October 3 is $4,873. If you file at Full Retirement Age, you can get up to $3,822. If you file at 62, you can get up to $2,710.
