This means you will get the payment for December up to $943 on November 29. Consequently, anyone who is still eligible to receive SSI will receive their check or have 2 days’ worth of his or her checks deposited.

Requirements to receive the SSI payments on November 1 and 29
If you filed and you’ve already gotten approval, there are only 4 requirements. Above all, do know that you need to be eligible for payment or you will be required to pay back to the federal government whatever you have received by being overpaid. Recipients must:
- have filed
- have a low income
- have little or no resources
- meet one of these 3 conditions:
- be blind
- have a disability
- be at least 65 years old
Until November 29, however, that will be the maximum amount for an essential person. All SSI direct deposits and checks will have the 2025 COLA increase on December 31. This means that by the time the calendar rolls to Dec. 31, 2024, an important person will get $484.

On Nov. 1 and 29, individuals will receive up to $943; on Dec. 31, 2024, after the 2025 COLA, they’ll receive up to $967. After the COLA boost, qualified married couples will receive up to $1,450 on Nov. 1, $1,415 on Nov. 29, $1,450 on Dec. 31, 2024, and $1,215 on Jan. 29, 2024.
